Account and Data Deletion
Sivas Cumhuriyet University — CU Mobile (edu.cumhuriyet.app) and
CU Alumni (edu.cumhuriyet.graduate) mobile apps
This page explains how to delete your data in the CU Mobile and CU Alumni apps, and how to ask for it to be deleted.
The apps do not create a separate account. You sign in with your existing student, staff or alumni record at the university. These records are kept in the university's own systems and are not deleted by the actions below.
1. What you can do in the app right away

A removed device registration may still appear in past notification delivery reports. If you want your records on the server deleted completely, use the request below.
2. Requesting deletion
To ask for the deletion of your other data on the server (device registrations, sent notifications and delivery records, your requests, your survey answers, grade-notification records):
- Fill in the application form on the university's Personal Data Protection page, or write to bidb@cumhuriyet.edu.tr.
- State which app you use (CU Mobile or CU Alumni) and which data you want deleted. Your identity is verified while your request is handled.
- Under Article 13 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, your request is concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
3. Data that is not deleted, or kept for a period
- Security and diagnostic records are deleted automatically: request logs after 30 days, sign-in attempts after 180 days, error logs after one year, and expired session tokens after 30 days.
- Records the university is legally required to keep are retained for the period set out in the university's Personal Data Retention and Destruction Policy, and deleted at the end of it.
- The student, staff and alumni information you see in the app (name, surname, grades, timetable and so on) comes from the university's own systems and is kept there under the applicable regulations.
The data that is processed is described in detail in the Privacy Policy. If the Turkish and English versions of this page differ, the Turkish version prevails.
